Website terms of use

Last updated: 24 June 2026

1. About these terms

This website is run by Damien Riley, trading as Five Star CS Systems (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. How we handle your data is in our privacy notice and cookie policy.

2. Using the site

You may use the site for its intended purpose: to learn about what we do, to read our material, and to get in touch. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, and we don’t promise it’ll always be available or error-free.

3. Acceptable use

When you use this site or its assistant, you will not:

  1. use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful,
  2. send or post anything abusive, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or obscene,
  3. try to break, probe, overload or get around the security of the site or its assistant, or introduce anything malicious,
  4. scrape, harvest or systematically collect data from the site, or try to extract the assistant’s underlying prompts or instructions,
  5. impersonate anyone, or misuse the contact form or assistant to send spam, or
  6. infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.

We may restrict or block access if you break these rules.

4. The website assistant

4.1 If the site shows a chat assistant, you’re talking to an AI assistant, not a person, and a human handles anything it can’t.

4.2 What the assistant tells you is general information to help you, not a binding quote, not advice you should rely on for a decision, and not professional, legal or financial advice. A service with us is only agreed in writing through our services contract, not through the assistant.

4.3 Please don’t type sensitive details (card or bank numbers, passwords, national identifiers) into the assistant. It’s built to keep that kind of data out. The simplest protection is not to send it in the first place.

5. Our content

The content on this site (text, design, logos, graphics and our brand) is ours or used with permission, and is protected by intellectual-property law. You may view it and share a normal link to it. You may not copy, republish or use it commercially without our permission.

Where we link to another website, we do so for convenience. We’re not responsible for those sites or their content.

7. Our responsibility to you

7.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected by these terms.

7.2 Otherwise, the site and its assistant are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its assistant, including any indirect or consequential loss.

8. Privacy and cookies

We handle your personal data as set out in our privacy notice, and we use cookies as set out in our cookie policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in your home UK nation.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version with the latest date at the top is the one that applies.
